Text: Colossians 1: 15-23
In our study of Creation (June 3), we discovered vital characteristics about human nature: dignity, conscience, design, and the desire to worship. These qualities were not destroyed by our rebellion but deeply marred by sin. In our fall (June 10), we now experience a warped view of what will make us happy (gain), shame, blame, and pain. If the story stopped here it would be depressing and tragic. But God did not leave the world in despair and judgment. The entire Bible is a story of reconciliation. The Father turns toward us in favor because of the death and resurrection of Jesus.
