In this passage, Paul records a registry of vices that characterized the Gentile world. It is obvious that true Christians have the power and are given the desire to overcome these sins. So in many ways our thinking, values and passions are very different than what is recorded here. But in other ways we are still struggling with many of the sins Paul describes. He says this clearly at the beginning of Romans 2. Today we consider how Christians differ from Paul’s description, but also how we are still caught in the very things Paul mentions in this passage.
