Paul now takes the theological truths he has expounded in Romans 1-3 and personalizes his teaching on justification by faith. He focuses on two of the greatest people in the Old Testament, Abraham, the father of the nation and David, Israel’s greatest king. He demonstrates through these patriarchs that people have never been accepted by God through works or human merit. Both Abraham and David were accepted by God by grace through faith. We explore the nature of true faith today.
