No onsite services March 22nd and 29th

This past Sunday, I stated our priority to safeguard the health of the most vulnerable in our congregation when it comes to the coronavirus (COVID-19). I also said when it comes to health crises like this one, we will defer to the expertise of medical professionals at the local and federal levels. ⁣

Given the recent update by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and after much consideration and discussion with other church leaders (including sister Tallahassee churches), we have decided we will not meet for our regular worship services the next two Sundays, March 22nd and 29th. ⁣

Instead, we will stream the service online each Sunday at ⁣

It is never an easy decision to cancel our meeting together; however, we have an obligation to look after one another and consider the needs of others as more significant than our own. Our deepest concern is for those most at risk, particularly our senior adults and those with compromised immune and respiratory systems. Whether they are a fellow church member, immediate family, friend, neighbor or colleague...we all likely know someone we can help protect. ⁣

At the same time, we have the incredible gift of technology that enables us to stay connected in worship together, even though we may be physically separate. ⁣

Continue to pray for wisdom for our government leaders as they navigate these uncertain times. Continue to pray for our healthcare workers as they work tirelessly to fight this virus and treat those infected. Continue to pray for the sick to be made well. ⁣

As always, we will trust God and act wisely. We will also keep you informed as future decisions are made. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we walk through this together. ⁣

I leave you with two reminders from the Psalms below. ⁣

Trusting in Christ with you, ⁣
David McNeely⁣
Senior Pastor ⁣

⁣“When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars.”⁣
Psalm 75:3⁣

“God is our refuge and strength,⁣
an ever-present help in times of trouble.⁣
Therefore we will not fear,⁣
though the earth is transformed⁣
and the mountains are toppled⁣
into the depths of the seas,⁣
though their waters roar and foam⁣
and the mountains quake in the surge."⁣
Psalm 46:1-3
