A Letter from Pastor Barksdale

Dear Wildwood Church family,

This is a hard email to write. I have never worked with a more loyal, godly, talented and dedicated Children’s Ministry staff and volunteers, who have worked tirelessly together on behalf of His children.

It has also been a privilege serving alongside godly leaders like Pastors Bob Evans and David McNeely, who have cared for Bo and me, and care deeply about the people of Wildwood.

This week the E-Team accepted my resignation as Community Life Pastor. We love Wildwood Church and the ministry here, and we believe the time has come to step aside for a new leader with a gift set to move this ministry in the direction God has set.

Bo and I believe this is God’s time for us to transition, and we trust in His plan.

There will be a Congregational Meeting on Feb 24th, 2019. My official last day will be March 31st.

Though we do not yet have another call, Bo and I are confident God will be faithful to provide one. He always has.

We are praying for the next individual who takes the helm of Children’s Ministry, because they will be part of an exciting vision here to assist parents in making mature and equipped followers of Jesus.

I would ask you church family to pray for the right individual to come quickly for Wildwood, and that Bo and I would soon find the call God has in mind for us.

For His Children,

Barksdale M. Pullen, III, Ph.D.

    Dear Barksdale and Bo,

You will be GREATLY missed at Wildwood. In different places and times since you all have been here, there has always been great enthusiasm and such a lively outpouring from these young people you have shepherded and ministered. May the Lord bless you and your family, strengthen your vision, protect and encourage you as you begin this new journey. Love to you all in Christ, Jackie Cunningham.
